According to a report in the Sunday Times by Sara Hashash, a United Nations agency blacklisted a British whistleblower after he exposed corruption in its Somalian aid programme.
Ismail Ahmed, who worked for United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) between 2005 and 2007, said it had pursued him after he uncovered the fraud. It occurred in a programme backed by British taxpayer's money to combat terrorism and money-laundering. He was informed his contract would not be renewed.
The UNDP conducted an investigation but declared that no current member of the organisation was involved in corrupt activity. (...)
A UN official had taken it on him or herself to approach a possible future employer of Mr Ahmed, and "warned" them not to employ him!
That must be the UNDDT: the United Nations Department for Dirty Tricks.
