Rail union official 'assaulted' worker crossing picket line: Bob Crow ally arrested after Tube station clash
A militant Left-wing rail union official has been arrested on suspicion of common assault as he allegedly tried to stop Tube workers crossing a picket line to go to work.
Steve Hedley, London regional organiser of the Rail Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) led by Bob Crow, was detained by British Transport Police after a scuffle at a busy Tube station on September 7 at 6.15am.
He was later released on police bail and is due to report back to a London police station next Friday.
