Every Arab even remotely connected to that murder should've been placed before a firing squad, and the entire town should've been burnt to the ground, so the thick smoke and smell of corpses would befoul the air for days.
That is the only justice befitting this monstrous murder, and the most effective means of dealing with this barbarians. It would've made them think twice before ever raising a hand on another Israeli captive.
Instead, the enemy got a clear message - even we don't think lynching our soldiers is a crime, so go ahead.
There is one global punishment for traitors, which, unfortunately, is only enforced by societies that haven't completely lost their mind.
Israelis like this one have a severe case of 'tunnel vision'; they zooms in on one point of the map, until it looks like the Palestinians are a minority, and then shout "wolves! wolves!" at the top of their lungs. If only there were actual, hungry wolves around them...
